7 Wonders of the World

1. Taj Mahal

Taj Mahal is located in Indian city Agra. It was built in 1632 by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan for his favorite wife Mumtaz Mahal. The whole Asian material was used to build this beautiful wonder. Almost 1 thousand elephant was to transport the material. In survey 2015 it was clear that approximately 827 million U.S dollars was spent to build this Taj Mahal. Due to the structure of Taj Mahal it is listed in 7 world's wonder. Million of visitors visit India to see this beautiful mausoleum.

 

2. Greate Wall of China

Greate Wall of China is located in China. It was built by mixing of multiple material like stone and wood etc. The basic purpose of this wall was to protect Chinese state from enimies. It was built during 206-220 DC by Qin Shi Huang. It is almost 21,196km long and it was built by mixing of different material so that it will remain strong in situation of war. And now it is considered as one of world's wonder. Million of visitors visit China and also go to Greate Wall of China.

3. Christ the Redeemer Statue

Christ the Redeemer status is located in Brazil. It is also known as second biggest statue of the world. Soapstone and concrete was used to build this. It was constructed in between 1922-1931. It was built by Brazilian engineer Heitor da Silva Costa, in collaboration with French engineer Albert Caquot. It is 30 metres long and the arms are 92 ft. It is located at the peak of 700 metres. It is also considered in the list of 7 wonders of the world.

4. Leaning Tower of Pisa

Leaning tower of Pisa is located in Pisa. It is considered in one of the wonderful architecture in the world. It was construted in a city of Italy Pisa in between 1173 to 1373. The height of the tower is 55.86 metres. Marble and stone was used to build this tower. The bells are located at last floor that produce different sounds. In 1990 the tower leaned at the angle of 5.5 degrees. But later in 1993 to 2001 it was reduce to 3.97 degrees. The travel visit Italy to see this tower. Because of its wonder facts it is considered in the list of 7 wonders of the world.

5. Petra

Petra is located in Jordan. It is historic city of the world. It was built by cutting of mountains in shapes of small towns. An intresting thing is that the mountains that was cut are represent pink colour. The area of the city is 264 km². It was bulit in 5th century. In 1812, it was discovered and also listed in 7 wonders of the world.

6. Colosseum

Colosseum is located in the city of Italy Rome. It was built in between 70 to 80 AD. Travertine limestone, tuff, and brick-faced concrete was used to build this building. And intresting thing is that 50,000 to 80,000 people can easily sit there at the same time. The height of the building is 48 m. The building was used to entertain people in the early era. Million of visitors come to Italy and visit this historic building. It is considered as iconic symbol of Rome and also listed in 7 wonders of the world.

 

7. Chichen Itza

Chichen Itza is located in Yucatan a city of Maxico. It was built in between 600 to 900 AD. The official name of this is Pre-Hispanic City of Chichen-Itza. Chichen Itza is a historic city. People visit maxico and also visit Chichin Itza. Because of it's wonderful facts Chichon Itza is listed in 7 wonders of the world.
