1. The Matterhorn

One of the highest mountains in the Alps, the Matterhorn, Switzerland's prominent point peak. This legendary peak rises on the border to Italy to 4,478 m and is diagonally oriented towards the compass points with four steep faces. When four climbers died during the descent, the first high point in 1865 came to a tragic end. Today, every summer there are thousands of professional climbers.

The charming village Zermatt is located at the base of this mighty mountain, the highest international resort with hi-drawn carriage rides. Motor vehicles are prohibited in the village to maintain air quality and a peaceful environment.

About 300 kilometers of pistes can be shot by skiers in winter. In summer, the surrounding mountains include swimming and tennis as well as hiking, biking, and climbing. There is also summer glacier skiing.

2. Jungfraujoch

The train to Jungfraujoch, the "Top of Europe," with an observer terrace and a scientific observatory on the 3454 meters, is one of the most famous items in the beautiful Bernese Oberland. The Great Aletsch Glacier, the longest glacier in Europe, is a UNESCO World Heritage site, starting in the Jungfraujoch area. From the Eiger glacier station to Alpiglen, the popular Eiger Trail clings to the rocks on the north side.

Picturesque Grindelwald is a Jungfrau glacier village which provides a great base for mountain adventures. It is situated at the foundation of snow-covered mountains and one of the oldest and most famous resorts in Switzerland. The Wetterhorn, in tiara form, and the northern face of the Eiger is one of the most spectacular and challenging ascents on the world, which overlooks this mountainous valley. 3. Interlaken

Interlaken is a summer resort situated between Lake Thun in the western part of Switzerland and Lake Brienz in the east. Hehematte is a great city plan with an open area of 35 hectares in the city center. The Heheweg, main boulevard through here with spectacular views of the mountains, is surrounded by flower gardens, hotels, and cafes. Over the city are the strong peaks of Eiger, Mench, and Jungfrau, which provide excellent opportunities for alpine adventures. Superb pursuits are hiking, climbing, abseil and kayaking.

In the surrounding countryside, there are more than 45 mountain railways, cable cars, chairlifts, and elevators giving tourists plenty of opportunities for visits from above. Skiers and snowboarders can select from the nearby resorts and ski along with the extensive network of trails throughout the winter. The Beatenberg-Niederhorn paragliders are released in summer.

4. Lucerne

Imagine a sparkling blue mountain-circuited pool, a medieval city with a vehicle-free view of the old town, covered bridges, waterfront walks, and sunny squares with springs. 5. Lake Geneva

Geneva Lake, the largest alpine lake in Europe, is situated on the Swiss-French borders and is lapped by some of the most famous towns in Switzerland. Geneva is situated between the beautiful skyline peaks of the Rhene River on Geneva bay, in the French city of Geneve and in the German city of Geneve.

It is the European seat of the United Nations and a nice combination of French joy of living and Swiss architecture.
