The Founder of this brand company of steel is Jamsetji Tata and was ascertained by Dorabji Tata in 1907, 26 august. In December 1911, pig iron production was begun in the company while steel production was started in 1912. TISCO is the largest steel manufacturing plant in Jamshedpur that produces steel of good quality.
The first steel product by TISCO was manufactured in 1912, 16, Feb. The time of First World War was the time of the progression of the company as it was introducing its products to the world. Later in 1939, it established a steel plant in British Empire which means that the company was prolonged at the international level. To reinforce its offering in the Nordic region, the company made an announcement of buying three-strip product service centers in Sweden, Finland, and Norway. In 2007, TISCO and SODEMI (state-owned company for mineral development) made an agreement for the development of mount Nimba iron ore deposits in Ivory coast in the west of Africa. The main headquarter of TISCO is located in India Mumbai but centers are also present in other cities too as in Kolkata. The company is actually a subsidiary of the Tata group.
